Curtis’s Botanical Magazine was begun in 1787 by William Curtis as an illustrated gardening and botanical journal. Curtis, an apothecary and botanist, held a position at Kew Gardens in London. It is the longest running botanical magazine and continues to be published by The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
